TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Recently James Humphrey asked me to write this Letter of Recommendation for him and I can do so without any hesitation.
While I was Pastor of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church in New York City, I happened to hear James play and sing professionally on a few occasions. He then performed at my church and it was the beginning of a long, excellent professional relationship with him. He wrote, played and sang his music at Worship Services and at innumerable special occasions and events through the years.
I also became aware that he was teaching children’s music classes in the city. I made arrangements for him to set up classes for children in mid-town Manhattan using spaces in church property. He began his new classes and they thrived, growing steadily in numbers. The children loved James and so did their parents.
I have always found him to be greatly available and cooperative. I have observed that this is the case as he works with various age groups and fellow professionals. He is extremely conscientious and dependable and has great integrity.
A side benefit for me through the years is that I have also come to know his wife Linda and his children Isabel and Jack. James is an exemplary husband and father.
I can recommend James to you not only as a highly skilled singer, musician and song writer but also as a beautiful, creative human being.
Sincerely,
The Reverend Michael B. Easterling
