Dear Susan,

It was good to meet with you on Friday to catch up on things. I deeply appreciate the way you have picked up the ball at the church and run with it. And thanks for working with Marvin and the Trustees on the hotel stuff. It’s very important and I know from experience how worrisome it can be.

I trust you got the stuff about the shift with Sunday Sextons. I cleared it with Shaun, Rosa and Arthur before I made up the revised schedule.

As for old Mike Easterling, he’ll be taking a train to New Hampshire on Tuesday…staying until Sunday night. In case of emergencies, Suzy’s phone #is 603 526 8028.

Next week I’ll probably go to DC to try to find Jim.

On August 15-19, Jeri and I will go to Kirkridge for retreat.

After that, maybe Georgia or maybe Tasmania to hunt barehanded for Tasmanian Devils. I know they are small, but I hear they are as mean as hell…that they are as hostile as the legendary vinegaroons in Texas.

Concerning vinegaroons, they are only about two to three inches long with brown and yellow hair (sort of a fuzz). It’s uncertain whether they are animal or bug. They live mainly in the desert. They need no liquids. Their food of choice is rattlesnake and gila monster although they have been known to attack wildcats and wolves. One story comes to us about one that journeyed up into Wyoming, killed wolvereens and held off a pack of grizzlies. No vinegaroon has ever been captured or held in captivity.

Hey….thanks again for your excellent work.

Pace,
