Dear Kathleen,
I was trying to email you but was having trouble with aol so thought I would just go ahead and write you instead.
It was good to talk to you today, but after we talked I realized I feel badly about having to miss your ordination. I’ve been to two of your installation services, but this is the one that seems to be the most special. You have really paid your dues…I would like to be there to see all of your work come to fruition. Also to be there for the laying on of hands and to celebrate with David and the rest of your family.
As I told you, Jeri and I will be in France visiting with old friends. The trip and various plans have been laid on. Of course, I look forward to the trip, but it’s bittersweet inasmuch as we will not be able to be with you. You are our friend and we have walked some miles together. And I admire you and respect you.
I’m glad that Roy and Gaston will be working in the service with you. They are quality, and they have sure been there for you when you needed them.
Jeri and I send our best wishes to you and sincerely pray for you in this time. We love you.
