Dear Helen,

I’m so sorry to hear about Catherine. I know that you must feel her loss greatly. I can remember the first time I met her.  Briggs needed a Pastor and she and Dottie Farrell came up to look me over at West Point. We sat on my front porch and had lunch looking out at the Hudson River. They were happy with me and I with them so I came to Briggs. I thought highly of Catherine and respected her very much. Speaking of Dottie, is she still around and do you see her?

Jeri and I have had a pretty hard year. We lost her mother in October from advanced Alzheimers…then my sister in mid January from cancer. We’re still reeling from their losses but doing a little better now. I’m the executor of Carols will so have been taking care of her personal affairs which have been extensive.

Suzy and her girls are coming down to see us at Easter which is exciting. Suzy still lives up in New London, N H.

Scott is down in Ft Worth and seems happy there. Mike loves his farm down near Atlanta and has a good landscaping business going. Jim moved from NH and now lives in Key West FLA.

Jeri and I continue to be happy living here in the Big Apple. J is still working part time and is just about as busy as ever. I can’t keep up with her. In the summer we will go back down to Austin to see my 94 year old Aunt Ruthie and to finish up Carols business matters.

Sure hope you are feeling well and doing good. You’ve always been such a good friend to me and my love ones. I have great memories of our time with you at Briggs.

Much love from me and Jeri.
