Hi Bob, I’ve been thinking about you lately. Hope your CPDD isn’t giving you too much trouble. Are you still taking the Arthrotec 75 and is it helping?
Both my knees are doing better now after the operations. They’re about 80% now. There’s a new culprit giving my left thigh some trouble…a non malignant tumor. I’m having it taken out this next week and will have to have some therapy for a while, but I’m not anticipating too much trouble with the whole thing.
I just watched Kentucky beat Baylor in the NCAA playoffs. Too bad. I’m not sure anyone can beat KY but I’ll be pulling for Rick Pitino’s team. And by the way we haven’t communicated since the Giants whupped New England in the Super Bowl. I’m a big fan of Eli.
Did you complete your book on Paros? Maybe with the CPDD you’ve been slowed down with it. I’ll be anxious to read it when you get it done.
Currently I’ve been reading God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens, Paris Portraits by Harriet Levy and I regularly read the Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu. The Levy book is especially enjoyable. If you liked Woody Allen’s film “Midnight in Paris” you’d probably enjoy the Levy book.
Jeri and I saw an excellent Irish play called “Give Me Your Hand” based on the poems of an Irish poet named Paul Durcan. Also Jeri went to see “The Death of a Salesman” with William Seymore Hoffman as Willy Loman and enjoyed it greatly.
I hope some day to see some of Sandy’s work. Is she putting on any shows lately? Do you continue to shoot baskets outside her studio. It must inspire her to look outside and see you dunking the ball.
Is Coach Rowland doing better? I remember he was having a tough time getting rid of pneumonia.
We have no big trips planned in the foreseeable future but we will spend three weeks in CA in May at my sister-in-laws house. I’ll be doing a lot of PT swimming in her pool for my leg.
My best wishes to you and Sandy.
Mike
