Dear Coach B,

So good to hear from you. I think of you and Mrs B more often than you would probably think. You two were very special to me while I was bumping around Wheaton. How you treated us guys upstairs so lovingly and consistently still amazes me.

Thanks for sending the plaques. I’m very grateful that you framed them and hung on to them all these years. They take me back to all of those good days up on Old Lawson Field and on other fields here and there. You knew how to inspire us. You always kept your cool. And your players including me had a ball playing for you. Having old Nub playing out in front of me made it even more enjoyable. In my mind you still remain the quintessential good coach not to mention my admiration of you as a person.

Thanks for informing me about the current Wheaton teams. Coach Bean and the women’s team coach must be so proud.

I retired from the Madison Ave Church on January. I will probably do something else in the future but for right now I’m choosing just to relax for a while and travel around and harass (just kidding) my kids and grandkids who live in New Hampshire, Georgia and Texas. I loved my work at Madison Ave, but I feel very positive about this new chapter for Jeri and me. Please see my new address on the envelope.

Please give my love to Mrs B. Please know how much I respect you both.

Sincerely,

Mikey Do
