“Sit quietly behind your wooden door,

Spring will come again.’

And so it has.

rising sun;

clear sky;

clean air.

Still one never knows about the circus parade

that can march into ones mind.

Sitting with steaming coffee

clowns make their way into my Big Top:

a major, a colonel, a general,

a smooth talker with pasty mustasche,

a pin-striped lawyer,

a silver haired doctor,

all with painted smiles.

I watch sadly from behind my wooden door.

But there’s that bright sun again:

folks walk by in shortsleeves,

chairs are put out at the Sidewalk Café,

a street Zamboni moseys along.

Spring has come again.

The trick:  to get it into my mind, my heart.
